Mmmm cake! We all love this part of the wedding! There
nothing more enjoyable than a decadent piece of wedding cake! Whether it’s
chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, red velvet, our guests are sure to swoon over
this classic wedding tradition.
Wedding cakes are starting to become much more
unique, and almost a piece of artwork for the reception. The wedding cakes are
often times being tied into the theme of the wedding, or showing off who the
bride and groom are as a couple. When our parents tied the knot there was
probably a simple tiered vanilla or chocolate cake with a traditional couple
wedding topper sitting on the top! Not to mention the frosting was often times
a simple vanilla buttercream!
Wedding cakes now come in flavors from
chocolate-almond cake with chocolate ganache, to coconut cake and lime
buttercream. How does hazelnut-almond cake with raspberries and chocolate
ganache, or lemon cake with vanilla buttercream sound? Sounds pretty tasty to
me! Along with wedding flavors changing, cake toppers are also beginning to get
more unique. Often times couples are putting wedding toppers that reflect who
they are such as monograms, flowers, beautiful sayings, and even sports
figures!
So when thinking of ways to customize your wedding, don’t overlook
this classic aspect of the wedding!
