The Bridal Solution's Menu Planning 101

Whether you're planning your wedding or planning for the holiday's one things for sure , there is an art to menu planning, and we have just the tools you need to plan and execute your next event!
Nothing says I love you like food, so when you're hosting a party, one of the first things you should think about is the food.  I have been to a lot of weddings where this seems to be forgotten.  If you think people will not remember what you served at your wedding or holiday party, you're wrong!  It's actually one of the first things they talk about when discussing your nuptials.
I have taken the time to put together some advice when talking food.
Here is The Bridal Solution's Wedding Menu Planning 101:

5.  It's important that the food you serve during your wedding is something that both of you enjoy.  Make it special and think about your favorite restaurants, or maybe s sample menu from your first date.  You'll want to select a certain type of food and stick with that particular cuisine.  When thinking about your favorite restaurant, what is it that you really love about it?  Is it the atmosphere or the way the food is prepared or served?  All of these factors can be incorporated in your wedding.
4.  Take the location and venue into consideration.  For example, if you are having your wedding on a celebration cruise or a yacht, you may want to serve fresh sea food.  Or if you are having a back yard DIY wedding, you may want to look into BBQ options.  Whatever you decide, make sure it makes sense to the location.  You'll need to make sure that the venue has appropriate equipment to keep cold food cold and hot food hot!
3. After you decide what type of food you will want to server, you'll need to figure out how you want the food prepared and served.  Is your event or wedding more casual and a buffet is ideal for your gusts to pick and choose?  Or are you having more of a formal sit down dinner where your guests will be served?  Many brides are choosing a more modern take on food service and having either food stations or passed heavy hor dourves.
2.  Make sure you know you're guests.  Are there a lot of vegetarians in your group, or vegans?  Do you have friends or family who have allergies to certain types of food?  This is helpful information when planning a menu for a large group.  Always have options available.
1.  Finally, nothing goes better with food then a beverage to wash it down with!  Think about what wines pair well with the food you are serving, and consider having those available.  You may also want to do something along the lines of the type of food you are serving.  If you are having fajita stations, have a margarita bar available.  If it's summertime, supply sangria.  If you are beer drinkers, have something brewed from the area to intrigue your guests.  Whatever it is, make it true to the both of you, and something your guests will remember!

Have you thought about how you are displaying your menu?  Are you even displaying your dinner menu?  If you haven't considered it, I would do so.  It adds another layer to your wedding and more importantly, informs your guests.

Here are some easy ways to display the food options...

Main point ... be creative, stick with your style and have some fun with it!

TBS Inspiration: DIY Lunch Bag Programs

Are you looking for a fun and unique idea for your ceremony programs? Well, we’ve got you covered! Check out these DIY Lunch Bag Programs! Using a generic brown paper lunch bag, print your ceremony program on the outside of both sides. Then, add a favor inside for each guest. Even better, add some bubbles, rice, or flower petals for your guests to shower you with as you walk back down the aisle. To top off the bag, use some sort of ribbon, burlap, or a mini-clothespin (as pictured) with an attached note to fasten the top! What a creative and inexpensive idea for a rustic backyard wedding!
