The First Annual WED Exchange - COMO recap

 I am so happy to announce that the first annual WED Exchange in Columbia, Missouri was a HUGE success.  It was SO good, we have decided to select dates for upcoming shows around the STATE!  Can you believe it!?  I mean seriously, it was better than I ever could have imagined!

The WED Exchange was held in Columbia, Missouri this past weekend on April, 14, 2013 at Muesao.  

The WED Exchange is a bridal flea market where past brides sell their gently-used wedding decor and items to brides-to-be.  It's also open to the public as well!  The first WED Exchange benefited Brides Against Breast Cancer, where we were able to donate over $500 to this amazing cause!

With twenty minutes until the doors opened for the early-birds, there was a line of 80 people waiting outside.  It was amazing to see all the brides who came out to get some great deals for their upcoming weddings!  The first 50 brides received some pretty amazing swag bags filled to the brim with coupons, magazines, vendor information and goodies from professional vendors all over Mid-Missouri!  The WED Exchange wasn't just for brides, many grooms came out as well!  It probably helped that Big-O Tires in Columbia, Missouri donated an AMAZING grill to be auctioned off LIVE during the event as well!

Attendees has their choice of over 1000 items brought in from past brides, rental companies and wedding venues.  There were gowns, glassware, centerpieces, candles, flowers and ceremony items.  The items were all marked down 40 to 80% off retail as well, which made them more appealing and affordable to brides-to-be!  Every little bit counts!

Throughout the room, there were also Professional Wedding Vendors, available to help brides tie up the loose ends of the planning process!  They were a great addition to the Exchange, and many of the vendors have already turned in their information for the next show, saying The WED Exchange was one of the most unique events they have attended in years!  One of the vendors even went as far as to say it was better than the local Bridal Shows they have attended in the past!

Thank you to EVERYONE who was involved in created this amazing, one-of-a-kind event!  We are pleased to announce that The WED Exchange will be going on the road and traveling to a city near you in the future!!

Just to Recap so there is no confusion ...

The WED Exchange is a bridal flea market where past brides can come in and sell their gently-used wedding decor to brides-to-be or the public.  Items may include: centerpieces, glassware, reception decor, candles, ceremony items, or even bridal gowns.

If someone is going to sell their new or used wedding gown, there are a few rules:
#1. Must be priced at or below $800
#2. Must be dry-cleaned

A portion of Ticket & Consignor Sales will go directly to Brides Against Breast Cancer.  We will also have pink envelopes on during the event if any would wish to make a personal donation.  Check should be made out to Brides Against Breast Cancer.

IF you are wanting to donate your dress to Brides Against Breast Cancer, you may drop off your dress before hand at Victoria's Bridal in Jefferson City, Missouri.  OR, you may bring your dress to The WED Exchange on April 14th in Columbia, MO and we will gladly donate the gown for you.

The WED Exchange is not a bridal gown sale.  The majority of items will be wedding decor related, but there will be dresses for those looking on the day of the event.  However, those dresses will be a consignors gown, and they will profit from the sale, not Brides Against Breast Cancer.

The Bridal Solution Introduces New Event to Community and Gives Back to Charity

[Columbia, Missouri] – March 5, 2013- The Bridal Solution, llc., along with The University of Missouri Hospitality Program, introduce The WED Exchange, a bridal flea market where past brides and brides-to-be can buy, sell or exchange wedding items of all kinds.  A portion of ticket sales and consignment sales will go towards Brides Against Breast Cancer. 

The WED Exchange will provide attendees the opportunity to explore different professional vendors and help future brides create the atmosphere desired at their wedding by purchasing gently-used wedding items and décor.  “I really wanted to appeal to past brides, as well as, brides-to be,”  Imhoff said.  Brides who have recently married will be able to make money on wedding items such as, dresses, centerpieces, ceremony décor and more.  With prices marked anywhere from 60 to 40% off, brides will be able to find some great deals. 

The event will be located at Museao in Columbia, Missouri on April 14^th from 1:00pm- 4:00pm, with early-bird admission available starting at noon.  A portion of ticket sales will be given to Brides Against Breast Cancer, which contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families.  Pink Envelopes will also be available at registration for those who would like to make an additional donation.  Tickets may be purchased on our website at http://thewedexchange.com.  If you are interested in consignment, information may also be found on our website.

The WED Exchange + Brides Against Breast Cancer

  The Bridal Solution and V Agency Events are beyond thrilled to be teaming up with Brides Against Breast Cancer for The WED Exchange!  We coudn't think of a better charity to donate a portion of ticket and consignor sales to ... can you?  Didn't think so!

 Brides Against Breast Cancer contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families.  They have expanded outreach and educational efforts to bridal shows around the country to ensure that everyone impacted by cancer have the resources and information they need in their batter with cancer [directly from website.]
