Let's Eat Cake

Mmmm cake! We all love this part of the wedding! There nothing more enjoyable than a decadent piece of wedding cake! Whether it’s chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, red velvet, our guests are sure to swoon over this classic wedding tradition.

Wedding cakes are starting to become much more unique, and almost a piece of artwork for the reception. The wedding cakes are often times being tied into the theme of the wedding, or showing off who the bride and groom are as a couple. When our parents tied the knot there was probably a simple tiered vanilla or chocolate cake with a traditional couple wedding topper sitting on the top! Not to mention the frosting was often times a simple vanilla buttercream!

Wedding cakes now come in flavors from chocolate-almond cake with chocolate ganache, to coconut cake and lime buttercream. How does hazelnut-almond cake with raspberries and chocolate ganache, or lemon cake with vanilla buttercream sound? Sounds pretty tasty to me! Along with wedding flavors changing, cake toppers are also beginning to get more unique. Often times couples are putting wedding toppers that reflect who they are such as monograms, flowers, beautiful sayings, and even sports figures!

So when thinking of ways to customize your wedding, don’t overlook this classic aspect of the wedding!

Start Swooning ...

We are so excited to share with you a beautiful wedding that took place in Jefferson City about a month ago.

Throughout the planning process, Jessica and her mom, Janet, were so fun to plan with. Seriously, it was like we were planning a wedding for a friend of years!

TBS Wedding: Ginny & David

Ginny & David's Wedding was absolutely one of our favorites of 2012.

Together with SilverBox Photographers and Kristen from Hoot Design Co., Ginny and David found themselves the winner of the Win Your DIY Wedding. We couldn't help ourselves. Ginny's vision was exactly waht we were looking for, the venue was stunning and the location ... well, who doesn't love Texas?

Yes, I said it! We made the haul to Texas, which really wasn't all that bad, and landed right in the heart of Arlington. Ginny & David were the sweetest couple, and it was such a pleasure to help them on their wedding day! To be honest ... I am still giddy about the venue and location!

What a wonderful family to work with, and what an INCREDIBLE day! Thank you Ginny & David for allowing us to be apart of it! It was magnificent!

TBS Wedding: Janna & Jordan

I can't even explain in words how much I loved this wedding. From the details of her dress to the decor at the reception, this is one wedding we won't soon forget! Seriously, this is one of our favorites from 2012!

Did I mention to you that Janna MADE her wedding dress? So stunning!!

One of the main reasons we loved this wedding so much is the reception location. When Janna first came to us she knew she wanted a WOW factor, but due to the number of guests that were invited, she had to find a space to accommodate. Enter ... white tent! Well, kind of. We ended up renting out the school gym of Jordan's old school, and compltely transforming the space with white tents. It was spectacular!
